I want to wire a micro three-terminal, push-button switch into a two-wire light , so that I can push the button once to make the light come on, and when you push it again, it'll turn off.  If it were a two-terminal, I could simply cut one of the light wires, and hook the switch inline.

But this is three terminals...common in the center, and ON on both ends.  How does it get wired to accomplish what I'm trying to do?

And as always, thanks!

Barry

Is one terminal NO (normally open) and the other NC (normally closed) ?
You can ignore one of the ON terminals most likely. Do you have a volt meter to test the switch to see what the terminals do in the different positions?

Both end terminals are marked ON, and the center is marked COM.  I think you're correct in the wiring, and am going to try that.  Thanks...

You were right, and it works fine.  Thanks again...
