Hi.

I want to add a switch to my console that will be used to close all windows and the sunroof at the same time. Access to the windows up wires is no problem, they're all right there in the center console. Does anybody know where is the easiest access place for the sunroof close wire and what color it is?

Thanks.

i just did a remote start on one. one thing i remembered when i looked @ D.E.I.'s techsoft, is that sunroof open/close was NOT suggested to use that wire. don't know why, didn't ask. i just thought that was kind of weird. they usually tell you how to interface into vehicle wiring. good luck!

mecpcert_1 - I am in the process of a remote start on my Lib too.  Did you have the immobilizer in it?  How did you get around it, alarm bypass module?   How complicated are they to hook up?

Thanks

(sorry for hijacking the thread)

The factory alarm disarm is negative trigger thru a 473 ohm resistor. MUST use relay.

There are 5 different bypass modules avaialbe for this vehicle. Keyless and key required.

Jeff

I hate to bug you again but I've got a few questions.

The diagram you posted,  I can do that INSTEAD of installing a bypass module?  It basically does the same thing in the end, right?

Where do I pick up a 473ohm resistor?

My remote starter has an alarm dissable (-)400ma wire which is ok but it does NOT have a arming input wire for the other relay.

Thanks

Yes, the relay just disables the OEM alarm prior to remote starting so that te OEM alarm doesn't go off.  Use the (-) 400 ma trigger from your alarm to pin 85 of the relay. This will activate the system when the relay gets the (-) signal from the RS.
