I was wondering if anyone could help.  I am working on a 1994 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme.  I did the strobes in the rear parking lights, the owner of the car wants the lights to go of when the strobes come on, I tried doing this with a relay but had no luck.  The 85 went to ground, the 86 to the srobes, the 30 to one side of the parking light wire in the back and the 87A to the other, yet I still have juice from both 87 and 87A, any response will be helpful, thank you.

Ok bub, here ya go....try this..

Hook pin 85 up to the strobe switch wire.  ( this wire should be the wire that sends signal to the strobes, or strobe relays...It should be Negative when the strobes are not in use, and positive when they are..Make sure it's this way!!!)

Hook Pin 86 to Ground.

Hook Pin 30 to 12V+

Hook Pin 87a up to the wire that gives the Headlight Switch 12V...note, you'll have to cut the original wire that is supplying 12V..otherwise you'll defeat the purpose...

There should be one wire in the Headlight Switch that is 12V constantly.  By severing this connection and hooking it up to a relay like I stated, what will happen, is when the Strobes are off...the Relay will be at rest, causing pin 87a to have 12V flowing across it..But, when the Storbes are activated, it will cause the relay to go into it's energized state, thereby causing the 12V to flow across, 87 instead of 87a...to make sure this is right...test with your DMM...at rest 87a should have power and 87 should be "dead"..and vice versa when the relay is energized...This should do it...Tell me how it works
