I just got a 06 focus and i want to put the best 6 by 8's in it that i can get ...I will be using a pioneer amp that will be giving all 4 speakers 60 watts RMS .......can anyone help me make the right choice???????????????? thanks...

all depends on the sound that you like. go to local shops and hear what they have.

What is it with Ford & the 6x8's?  If you can fabricate an adapter & use a 6.5 round driver you'll get the best results, but it's work.  I think there are some Metra/scosche adapters that may work.  Otherwise Boston used to make some respectable 6x8's, not sure if they still do but that'd be my choice.

I agree with boulderguy...and the adaptor doesn't need to be pretty.  It's going to be entirely hidden behind the door panel.  All you need to do is cut a somewhat round hole in a piece of MDF or plywood and screw it over the existing OEM cutout.  Then, you've got a much better selection of speakers to pick from.
Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.
