I did order a Nakamichi PA 540 to complement the rest of my Nakamichi system.Because of a sily mistake a blew my Mb Quart tweets so i replaced them with tweets from RF,powered also by an RF amp and i don't like them,i miss the crispness from my Quart highs very much. What i wanna do is use my new (on order Nak) to power my front stage, rip out the RF and go for something from Mb Quart "Q series" 5.25" with tweets,or maybe something from Dynaudio or Focal.Back to my 4 channel Nak,the amp will do 50 W x 4,can i power the mids and tweets separate ?,or bridge the amp to a 2 channel and get 100 W x2 ?,what do you pros out there recomend speaker and configuration wise ?

P.S. Do any of you deal in the mentioned brands,i need 5.25"s,some prices will be apreciated.

Thank youA 4 channel amp,can i use it for this ? -- posted image.A 4 channel amp,can i use it for this ? -- posted image.

Using an electronic x-over before the Nak amp, yes, you can use the four channels seperately. The Nak amp may have a built in x-over, but it would be better to use an external one, giving you more control. I would suggest using the passive x-over as it usually very well matched to the drivers, and will protect the tweets from any overloads that could be produced from the amp. If you just using the amp to drive your front setup, bridge the amp down to two channels, then to your x-over, etc. Its easier and safer for your equipment (drivers) and you won't have the hassles of trying to make sure the levels are adjusted properly between the mids and highs.....

Just a thought.....
