Hello, Can anyone suggest a brand name for a remote start kit that is suitable for the 2002 Durango with the 4.7 Mercedes engine. My understanding is that these units can be installed on most vehicles with an automatic tranny. I am wondering if there are any known problems with this particular vehicle with respect to remote starter installation. Also, can a basic starting unit be installed (one with out a security system or door locks etc.) and rely on the existing factory security system and keyless entry systems? Thanks for any help offered.

i have an 02 durango r/t and i have a marksman m-10. it is a great unit

I have installed our Aladdin in these vehicles without any problems. Need a bypass module for the Immobilizer chip in the GREY headed keys only, otherwise a piece of cake.
