I am trying a new setup in a truck i am working on and i am wanting to put a computer in to control all of my sound. i have the setup figured i just need some help on how i could run the computer and a monitor off of the truck alternator and battery. what kind of invertor should i use or should i wire the computer in to the power cause a computer runs on 12 and 5 volts if thats the case how do i reduce 12 volts to 5 volts?

Honestly don't love with it just buy a 12volt to 120 ac inverter and use all you laptops standered plugs. Just see how many watts it needs to run. Should be on your computer's inverter(the box on your power line)
