while driving with cruise on,my radio went staticy,(like it went off station), and my cruise stopped working. the radio came back on a few seconds later, and the cruise hasn't worked since. when you try to set the cruise, the indicater light on the dash trys to come on ,flashes once breifly, but won't stay on. I also have had a remote starter put on the vehicle,I think around the same time. I disconnected the box for the remote, but that didn't help. I also disconnected the brake wire from the remote, but that didn't help either.                                             can someone please help

hey what do you know, I figured it out . for anyone else with the same problem, the brake switch is on the front of the master cylinder, not the brake pedal. the brake pedal only controls taillights. the speed control brake pressure switch is the one that controls the cruise. its located on the front underside of the master cylinder with a two wire connector, $31.00 cnd. at the dealer for the switch. thanks and talk to you all later

Looks like you figured something out, but just FYI you can use the wires at the brake pedal in the car. You can tap the GREEN/ red for the hot side, but you need to throw in a relay for the cold side of the brake because it sits at like 2 volts or something like that. Cruise controls don't want to see the 12 volts from the cold side of the brake when pressed in order to shut down. They want to see a GROUND on the cold side when it isn't being pressed in order to work. Later,
Mike
