Will the resign harden correctly if I only mixed half the correct amount of hardner. I only did this for a few 2 oz cups until I realized my dumb *** mistake. It is drying right now and would like to know if I need to sart over.

And it is for a 10" sub.

Try to mix up another batch, a little on the "hot" side, and lay another layer of glass with it. That should activate the previous layers- it's worked for me when I've done this. If you just try to apply harderner, it won't do anything.

Will the glass and rsign stick to duct tape? I did the foil trick but I didn't like how it pulled off. I would like to pull the mold and leave behind all the tape and such.

Yes, fiberglass will stick to duct tape- in fact, there aren't many things it won't stick to.

The foil work well but its a pain to pull off in little spots. I don't need it to look pretty so I don't really mind it but was thinking if I wanted to make a painted enclosure.

Can you brace the sides of a long span. I made it on the side of the trunk and there is a shelf across it that flows out to left. It is about 16-20 inches long and about 6 inches wide. I made it that way becuase the box would match the car better. Should I brace it by glassing in some dowels or can it be left alone? Or should I just cut it off and make it smaller.

It doesn't affect my volume that much. I'm at the low range with out the long span and closer to the middle with the span.

the back of the enclosures are vrey rarely seen. if a little foil sticks to it you can just leave it.....or you can grind/sand it off with a D/A or grinder.

if you are looking for another mold release there are several you can use..... there is mold release wax(meguires makes some), car wax, PVA(poly-vinyl alcohol)

these are all used with masking tape or if you want to waste money, duct tape.

On this project I am not worried about the foil but I was thinking of other projects. The car wax I dea I like, I have some I don't use anymore.

Thanks for your help. I mixed extra hardener and brushed over the wet spots. It work great. I will be adding the extra layers tomorrow. How many layers do you recomend? I was going to do 6-8 depending on the spot. I will only be running one 10" Fosgate HE off a 200W RMS. I don't need earth shaking bass but clean is more important to me.
