I've recently gotten an alpine type x 12 and I built a sealed MDF box for it but I didn’t even carpet it because its just too square. I'm going to mold in a box and an amp rack but after staring at the cargo area for endless hours I just can't make up my mind how I want to do it. Basically anybody got any jeep pics? or really any SUV with a 1 sub/amp rack? I really like symmetry and that’s hard to achieve with one sub. Hmmm.... I might need another. Anyway if you could help me past my artistic block I would appreciate it.

If the box and sub are seperate what if you separate them and put one on each side.  Or made a long box that ran in between the wheel wells.    Like this one,

Here is the link where you can find a detailed way of building this box.

http://www.velocitymotorsport.com/install_notes/step_by_step.htm  Its at the bottom of the page for the step by step of this box.

ok, I finaly started today and I am gonna to something like what realitycheck suggested. I like the idea of the sub being inverted b/c it is so pretty it would just be a shame to hide it. I almost all of the woodwork done. Only thing left is the amp rack, (UPS is supposed to bring the amp tomarrow). Alpine MRD-M1001. Space is an issue because of the odd design of walls in the cargo area. Nowhere good to mold into. So I'm gonna bite the bullet and use a large portion of my floorspace. I'm trying not to alter the jeep at all so as to retain resale value. Anyway I think I've got it all figured out so I'm expecting a screw up any minute now. I'll post pics when I get something worth taking a pic of. Until then I'm back to my non-stop work/school week.
