resistor, load equalizer?

How to figure out what kind of draw a light bulb has, so if I were to replace a light bulb with an LED bulb, I could put in a resistor to make it seem as though there was the correct light bulb was installed. My car will tell me if a light bulb is out if there isn't enough draw as in installing an LED bulb.

I'm sorry...it's not called a resistor it's a Load Equalizer that will need to be installed.
