2007 chvey truck i added 1 gauge I would like to have a light that would dim what could i use for on& off switch with a dimmer that would be small the dash lights are controlled by mod our tec line said do try to tap in to the circuit thanks for any ideas Richard

I know you posted this a long time ago but if you are still checking back this is what I have done in the past. I find the wire that goes to the light in the radio and tap into that. A lot of times this is a single wire (orange in older Mopars). In most everything I have had this light comes on with the dash lights. This works for most older vehicles. Newer ones may present a different problem. In that case I would try and find other dash light circuits or maybe go into the fuse box and find a fuse that is labeled as such and tap into that wire.
