I have a 99 escalade and would like to install a 2003 gps bose escalade stereo. Is this possible? I know I would need to mount antenna, but would the unit actually work correctly once installed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In a word NO. For starters, the radio is too big and secondly, the Nav radios in the 2003's and newer are Class II data radios. They will only turn on with a data message from the BCM. They do not have an ignition circuit to turn them on. Your truck cannot do this. Go with an aftermarket unit with a flip out screen or a stand alone unit where the screen mounts to the dash.
