I have a kicker zx750.1 pushing two dvc 2-ohm kicker l7's, a pioneer head unit, the subs are wired up at a 2 ohm load, ground is nothing less than perfect, running a 4 gauge power and ground wire with a 150amp anl fuse about 6" from the battery, and the stock 130amp alternator(i know the danger with the fuse size). Everything works fine until i turn it up to about 42/62 then when it hits a note the amp goes into protection for a few seconds then turns right back on and if i dont turn the head unit down then it does the same thing. Any help is appreciated but please no telling me to check the ground or to check fuses. Thanx

I would run the load no less then 4 ohms to see if that will make the amp run cooler and not go into protection.
You could also add cooling fans to blow air across to dissipate the heat quicker but that may not help if you are overdriving the amp.
The wire I'm test'n isn't doin' what it's supposed to be doin'... I am so glad I printed that tech sheet, with the wrong info.
Do it right the first time... or I might have to fix it for ya
