I just purchased a 1997 Audi A6 with a Bose stereo. I would like to add a subwoofer to it. Would I tap off of the rear speakers put a low line converter on it go into the amp then the woofer. Also would you recommend I get power from the battery or can I tap off of the existing stock power amp located on the rear deck in the trunk.

Thanks  Gene

You got the first part right about how to get the signal. But for your power you will need to run a power cable directly from the battery to the amp. Now be sure to use the correct gauge cable https://www.the12volt.com/info/recwirsz.asp . And be sure to fuse the line within 18 inches of the battery. To calculate the fuse rating you will need to divide 13.8 by what ever your watts RMS on the amp are. Good luck with the install and if you have any more questions you know where to find us.
