Which amp is overrated? I been doing research for months. I have 2 15" kicker l7 4 ohm dvc. Its wired at 1 ohm. Also, i have a ported box. Its at 5.25^3 cu. Ft. I need an amp at 1 ohm. I was thinking of getting a hifonics amp. Its alot of amp out there for the choosing. I need some recommendations on amp.

Boss. Hifonics. Audiobahn. Rockford. Kenford. Rockwood. Power Acoustik. Power Bass. Pioneer. Nearly anything from the Directed stable. ANYTHING with too much chrome or ANY flames. Anything you can buy online for really cheap. All of those named specifically are garbage amps, and "over-rated", in my opinion. Over-rated is NOT a good thing.
Now, I think you are meaning to ask for an "under-rated" amp, i.e. an amplifier that makes more actual power in real world conditions than the nameplate would indicate. The PDX amps from Alpine. Zapco. McIntosh. Older Eclipse. Audison. Brax. Butler.
Shall I continue? The names in the second group are all expensive, and crafted with attention to detail, not necessarily mass produced just to make the buck. If you want a good amp, you gotta pay good money.
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."
