adding another 15 to my system

i would first like to say that i did try searching this before starting this thread... i have 1 kicker cvx 15 duel 2 ohm(1000r/2000m) beeing fed by a 1208d hifonics amp. now if i buy another exact same kicker and wired them both down to 1ohm and then ran them in series back to 2ohms would that double my rms handeling to 2000rms for the two subs in series or is the rms still gonna be 1000?
