None.
Never. (Upgrade your CHARGING system - the source of the power in a car, anyway)
Like a hole in the head.
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

I dont think I will ever get sick of that image ROFL.
As they said above, it isnt NEEDED, ever. Make sure you have a good high output alternator, that will supply the the current you need.
Make sure you also upgrade the big 3, this will provide a good resistance free, clear/clean path to the components.

the real point of a cap is to store up energy for the for the very short peaks in current drain caused usually by amplifiers. but the reason they suck is after they discharge the small amount of juice they carry, they try to recharge. and if that peak in current draw is still going on, like a long bass note, it makes things worst because now you have one more device trying to suck power that already is stretched thin. its like putting a band aid on a gun shot wound. that is the reason no one on here really recommends caps for anything but if you go to a store they will try to sell it to you because they count on you being completely ignorant to the facts.

Truthfully, the POINT of a cap is to separate you from a hundred bucks!
