Has anyone used the alpine gps systems. preferrably the p1 or blackbird 2. have heard bad things about the units. and need more info before i buy my head unit. also looking into the kenwood head units with gps option add on.

Don't touch the Alpine, it is a turd masquerading as a GPS unit. If you want good, real good, the new Eclipse AVN726E or the new Kenwood DNX9140 is where you want to be. The Eclipse is going to be far cheaper than the Kenwood this year and offer the exceptional performance that they have for years now. www.eclipse-web.com for more info.

alot of the kenwood has the built it garmin gps, and i think garmin is the best gps out there!
