A few quick questions about connecting sirius satellite radio into my 01 corolla

I have a sirius receiver that is activated,  I have a pioneer DEH-p7000bt that is satellite radio ready.  Is it worth the money buying the interface kit and tuner?  At what advantages do I gain by going this route?  Thank you for your input.

Your advantage is that you are using the tuner that you paid to activate.
Is it worth spending more money to get all of the necessary parts to connect it to your car? Only you can answer that question. My personal opinion is not JUST no, but no WAY, as I cannot even listen to satellite radio, the fidelity is so crappy.
That being said, I have never spent time ($100 an hour, thank you...) or money on investigating, buying a tuner, shipping it, activating it, and installing it... You have. (Some of it, anyway)
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

i think he's asking if it is worth it to get the actual pioneer direct tuner instead of using the stand alone tuner he has right now, correct?
but, i could be wrong, so in that case, having a direct connection for your stand alone tuner to your HU you would almost certainly gain some sound quality because if you are not directly connected right now then that means you are using an FM modulator.
are you having quality issues with your sat radio as it is right now? you should tell us whats up because there might be some other things you can do to help the quality other than throwing money at the problem.

...and the interface DOESN'T matter... 128K MP3's sound better than most satellite radio transmissions. And for me to say something like that, you MUST know in the first place how much I *ABHOR* .MP3 playback.

calm down, its not that serious. maybe he just want to listen to some talk shows. otherwise i would have to agree, i hate the sound quality of satellite radio and to me it borders on false advertising, but most people could not care less as long as they can make out what's being said.
