Hey guys, i am new to this forum. Before i start, i hope that this is not a duplicate post, but i have tried searching and i can not find any topics as basic as i require.
I have recently bought a new Kenwood 10" sub and amplifier, as well as a JVC kd-r606 head unit and all the wiring i require. I need to install it into my 1992 Celica(the sub is going in the boot obviously), but i have absolutely no idea where to start, all the topics that i am reading make absolutely no sense to me.
Could you refer me to a topic that would be able to help me out? or just provide some basic information to get me started? It would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Jake

you should start by installing your new radio. do you know how to get the old one out? did you buy the wiring adapter so you dont have to cut any wires? im pretty sure that a toyota of that year wont need a dash kit ( i could be wrong) and that you will need to take the factory mounts from the old radio and swap them over to your new radio.
if you get the radio wired up then now is the time to connect the remote wire and the RCA's for the amp to the back of the radio. the RCA's will go to the sub or rear output on the back of the radio and the remote wire will go to the remote output OR you can tap it onto the red wire, either way is ok.

http://www.bcae1.com/...Great site for questions/info...! heres radio removal info...

Disconnect the negative battery terminal to

prevent an accidental short circuit. Pry up

on the gear shifter trim panel and remove the

panel. Remove (2) screws exposed on the

bottom edge of the radio trim bezel. Unclip

the bezel, and disconnect the ashtray and

cigarette lighter wiring. Remove the screws

securing the factory head unit and

disconnect the wiring.

As far as a spot to run power wire thru...The wall between you and the engine is the firewall...Normally you can find a rubber grommet to go through...Should see existing wires already going through firewall...Dude i defitnely dont remember anything about that car...Worse case you can buy a UNI-BIT to make hole through firewall...Pay attention to both sides before you make hole...The amp kit should come w/ a plastic or rubber grommet to insert after you make the hole... As sound stated...Wire up radio...Basically color to color...Run rca's and remote under dash and up through to radio opening...Pay extra special attention to where you ground the amp....Make sure fuse holder is within 18" of battery...DO not mount amp to sub box...
