Just purchases a new Nissan Altima. The brains at Nissan created a "film" antenna on the windshield. It kinda looks like a defrost type film. Needless to say, the AM/FM coverage sucks. I replaced the head unit with a Poineer MP3 player and the coverage is just as bad. What I need is a "real" antenna to pick up AM/FM. Any suggestions? By the way. I am trying an 44-ua20 hide away antenna as of right now and it does what it says...amplifies. Am is non existant.

Help! What are my options? I want to put an antenna on the roof or something or even in the car. I am not sure if I am willing to drill any holes in the exterior.

Im gonna check. I had it installed at crutchfield. The thing was tho, the reception sucked with the manufacturer head unit. The manual actually states that FM reception is 35-40 miles(which is terrible)

you......are.......the.......man!!!!  I checked the wiring and the installer had it unhooked and taped it back. So, I plugged in the antenna first, then attached the wire and could tell a noticable difference. AWESOME!

Thanks Murph!
