2005 Chrysler Town & Country, No Sound From Speakers

Hello to members. I'm new. I have an 05 Chrysler Town & Country. Recently got a jump start and the cables were connected backwards. Yep!  I know this is not good. The radio must have been on at the time. Now the radio CD player lights come on, seems to find stations but no sound from speakers. Just a click when I power it on. Found and replaced an blow 20 amp fuse under the hood. What else can I ckeck before going to a dealer?

If no more blown fuses - you probably have a bad factory amplifier.

The fuse that powers the factory amp is blown.  The amp is not damaged.  Thee is a part inside the amp that protects it from incidents just as this.  I do not remember how Chrysler labels the fuse, it may be labeled Audio, Sound or maybe even amplifier.  There are only 2 fuses that blow when this happens.  The constant fuse of the radio, and the factory amp.  Check every fuse, there is another blown one.

Thanks for the reply. I'm hoping that you are right. Sounds logical there should be a fuse. I think this is radio/CD/DVD group are called the Chryslery "infinity system".  I just can't seem to locate where the fuse or relay that protects the AMP is located. Any additional help will be appreciated...

Just grab a pair of needlenose pliers and start pulling and testing every fuse if you can't figure out which one it is by their very vague labels.
