My '94 Chev van stereo has always rattled with higher volumes and bass levels - I always thought the speakers had been blown before I got the thing, but I just replaced the main rear speakers with a pair of Pioneer TS-G1347's (120W Max, 5.25"  coax 2-way 4ohm) and it's still as bad or worse!  I just want to be able to hear the rear speakers decently and some good bass without distortion.  Can these speakers be used or should I look for something else?

what type of music are you listening to? if you want bass you should probably invest in a sub setup but if you just want normal listening levels without the distortion i would probably recommend polk ex352 and if you are using the factory radio you are way under the power to run the tsg1347 which is rated at 25 watts rms. a factory radio produces about 7 watts per channel which will sound like crap because you are at the peak of what your radio will produce which is where the distortion is at.
