rca's, h/u, amp, hz and subs ect.

I have bought all my gear but yet to install any of it so far apart from the H/U before I realized I had over looked a few things that I should have researched before hand. I have searched the instruction manuals and also online for the information but none of them provided me with anything that I was looking for. Just some basic info before I explain what I am having trouble with. H/U: Kenwood KDC-MP336AX Amp: Hifonics Titan TXi-4008 Subs: 2 x Response 8" woofer (CW2196) Problem #1 The amp has a "Level" dial that requires the voltage output from the H/U, the settings on the amp go from 5V - 0.2V but this information is unavailable anywhere. Problem #2 The manual says a mono signal is required such as a mono signal sub bass crossover, stand alone, or built in to the head unit. Then further explains not attempt to join the left and right RCA to get a monal signal. Does my amplifier have a mono output even though it has left and right RCA output or would I have to just use 1 side of it connected to a Y adaptor and split the 1 signal to both inputs on the amp? Problem #3 The LPF on the amp is from 30Hz to 250Hz, the woofers frequency response is 38Hz - 4.5kHz, where would I cut off the LPF or would I just set it to the highest as it is capable of playing 250Hz? When signing up I saw they are very much against links, although I would have liked to post some to give more information the the units I dont know exactly what is acceptable. If it helps and anyone requests I could post PDF files or copy and paste specs of each. Thanks if anyone can help.

The output of your radio will fall within the range of adjustments of that amp.  I can not stand any frequency above around 80Hz coming from my subs.  The crossover frequency will be a personal prefference of yours.  You will have to experiment with it to see what you like.

Not too big of an issue, you can adjust those after everything is up and running so things sound right Problem #2 The manual says a mono signal is required such as a mono signal sub bass crossover, stand alone, or built in to the head unit. Then further explains not attempt to join the left and right RCA to get a monal signal. If your Kenwood has a sub out pair of RCA's those will be mono. If it is a monoblock amp, it is mono (I am not familiar with Hifonics) Problem #3 The LPF on the amp is from 30Hz to 250Hz, the woofers frequency response is 38Hz - 4.5kHz, where would I cut off the LPF or would I just set it to the highest as it is capable of playing 250Hz? If the Kenwood has a subwoofer output and built in controls, I would set the LPF on the amp at 250Hz and control it from the deck, if NOT, I would set it to your taste. Start at 100Hz or so.
