charger project

Hello, I'm new to this forum and I wanna hook my system up right the first time. The components I was looking at are as follows : Pioneer FH-P8000BT Head unit, 2 x Pioneer Premier TS-W3002D2 12" 3500W Dual 2 ohm subwoofers with an RMS of 1000ea and 1 x Hifonics HFi2500D amp so far? I've been researching for about a month now and reading everything I can find on car audio. However I'm still kinda confused on the rest of what I need/want and how to wire it. I was gonna use 0gage wire and dist. blocks with (1) SPL CP15.0 15 farad digital power capacitor. (1) Cadence FDA0+4K 0 + 4 Gauge Dual Amp Kit + Rca Cables. Will all this work together and what else should I add to make it complete? The car I'm doing this on is a 2009 dodge charger sxt. Addressing merely the electrical power aspect.... Ensure you upgrade the grounds - see "The Big 3". I'd skip the cap for now unless you know why you want it - ie, to prevent damage to adjacent AGM battery(s) or to reduce your peak SPL. I assume you have a suitable alternator to provide the desired output - eg 1k + 1k + 2.5k = 4500W RMS output => ~450 Amps plus other loads, or less if running lower average consumption and not needing 14.4V at high outputs etc. (And if running that high, you'll need more than 0G - maybe 2 runs of 0G?) I also assume you'd be running extra battery(s) with an isolator to protect the cranking battery? Hence if enough AGMs are used, no cap is required. (If not internal so that wet/flooded batteries can be used, a cap is questionable. If big burps kill the AGMs, then a suitable cap should protect them - otherwise add more AGMs.) And in your research on power supply, are you applying anything you found on audio forums - especially from Florida? If so which forums - or, if possible, Watt? (pun intended)

I would think that the 0gauge wire might be overkill. Running 1 amp at 2ohms (1700W) you probably wont be pulling that much power. I usually dont use 0 gauge unless i'm getting into a situation where the system is putting out 3000W or more. It never hurts to have larger wire than necessary, but 0 gauge is alot more expensive than 4.
