Newbie needs help

Hey everyone new to the forum and to car audio. I have some working knowledge with installing car audio things but I could use some practical help on my new vehicle. In My 2003 Trailblazer LS I want to run the amp, remote turn on leads and RCA wires from the front to the back of the vehicle and I'm stumpped on how to pull up the door sills.  There are no screws and I just figured they snapped down or something. I pulled up on them but am afraid to break them as it is brand new.  Can someone give me step-by step instructions in lamens terms on how to take the door sills out. Thanks in adavance

I have an '03 S10 and I just pulled them right up. The best way I've figured out to do it is to slide a ruler under the sill and find out where the clips are and apply localized pressure to that clip, one at a time.
     OR, you can go underneath the car and push them out from the bottom, releasing the clips one at a time. I did that on my Blazer and it worked fine too. Good luck.

They are in there with clips, start at one end and pull them up one at a time might need to apply some strength but they will come out.

Thanks for the info was able to get them out now where would you suggest I run the remote turn on lead wire from. Which wire do I tap into Is it possible from the fuse box in the back?

The way I would do it would be to tap into the pink wire located in the ignition harness

Not only is it possible to use the wire at the fuse box, but more likely than not this is the ONLY place in the vehicle you should tap in to.  Many of those newer GM head units do not use a switched +12volt wire to turn on and off, and as a result if you tried to tap in to such a wire radio's harness (where it is in most vehicles), it would not be present.

I'm not positive if your vehicle has this type of wiring system but I just thought I'd throw that out there for the sake of anyone who wants to know.

Also just make sure to verify all your wires with a multimeter, BEFORE hooking anything up.
