Recently baught 2 alpine type r Alpine SWR-1222D 12" and was wonder if the is the Hifonics Brutus BRZ1200.1D would be to powerfull? Any other recomendation would be greatly appreciated very new to the stereo equipment

as long as your gains are set correctly then you should have no problems with using that amp on those subs.

I have them on a lanzar amp but ive read review and its a garbage amp and the subs are wired at 2ohms should i wire them down too 1 ohm and could i be educated on how to set my gains properly ?

No you can not wire them down to 1 ohm. 2 or 4 are what you are limited to.

I have the same subs and the Alpine MRP-M1000 amp hooked up to them, I've been pounding the bejesus out of them for a solid 2 years with absolutely no problems. These things are bulletproof..

I too have installed those subs WITH the Brutus amp. A PERFECT setup. They POUND AND they are still holding up today!!
