hehehe this is gonna be a heated debate, I can already tell.

in MY opinion, profile AMPS are great, and I've never had a problem with them.  I've had mine for about 5 years and it's been through everything short of being run over, and I still use it today.  If you hook it up properly, and you know how to listen for weird noises, distortion, and/or when to turn the bass down, etc. then a profile amp will last you a very long time.  That's really what it comes down to--knowing the limits that your amp has, and not exceeding them.  Perhaps an amp like a RF or MTX will be able to take more abuse (in terms of inadequate ventilation, low impedence loads/overheating, or incorrect wiring), but if you take care of your equipment and don't abuse it then you don't even need to worry about that.

As far as physical abuse is concerned, let me just say my profile amp was in a tornado and when I got out to my car afterwards it was hanging out the rear window still being held in to the car by the power and ground cablesprofile amps, any good? -- posted image....this is the same amp that  I still use today to push my 10" MTX 6000.

Unless you are looking to compete or something, Profile amps definitely offer some of the best bang for your buck available today.  I never was a huge fan of their speakers and subs but I've always loved their amps and have never had a problem with them.

Now I'm not saying there aren't better amps out there, I just think that for someone looking to save a lil money, Profile amps are a very good choice.
