I have 2 12 inch Clarion Power Systems DVC subs each voicecoil is 4 ohm.

I will be using a Clarion Power Systems DPX1000.2 to run them.

Dilema; The amp is rated to run in 2 ohms mono minimum resistance. Should I run them with a 4 ohm mono load at 500 watts total(250 to each sub) or run each sub off each channel with the voice coils in parellel for a 2 ohm load which would be 500 watts to each sub.

So more power in stereo hook-up or bridged 4 ohm( which I wouldnt be seeing the full power capabilities of the amp).

You have 2 options you will end up with the same amount of power either way. 1st wire the subs in parallel and then bridge the amp to 1 channel, this will give the amp a 1 ohm load bridged and will put out 500 X1 watts (250 each speaker). 2nd ( the way i would go) wire the voice coils of each sub in paralel (2 ohm load) and connect.each sub to a seprate channel.this will give you 250 X2 Here is a diagram http://www.audiobahninc.com/tech/wiring/parallel_parallel_dual_4.pdf the first pic would be your 2 channel option, the 2nd pic would be your bridged option.

I cant do a 1 ohm load mono.

So your saying, run each sub off of a seperate channel which in parellel would give me a 2 ohm load on each channel.
