Hi,
I have a dodge charger 2009 SE V6 2.7 VIN:-2B3KA43DX9H602636
1:- where can I tap the front dash speakers, I have tried looking for existing harness to no avail. I don't want to open the door panel, thinking that the wires go to doo panel from under the desk.
2:- I have recently added the automatic headlight switch, the switch just works fine but does not turn off the lights during the day when on auto. this is because, I don't have the light sensor on the dash. I have ordered the dash sensor with 2 pin wire but don't know where to connect the same. I don't think I need to do any programming coz i already have my lights configured for auto off. After adding this switch they just come up automatically after starting the car. when I crank the car with light switch on auto, headlights just go off for few seconds and then come back on, assuming that, its dark outside. This just works fine for me during the night but during the day I need to turn them off manually

if you are trying to use the factory speaker wires for the dash speakers and the car did not come with the dash speakers installed then the wires you are looking for could be folded up and taped to itself. this means that it might be hard to find. but i guess it is also possible that the speaker wires arent there because the car didnt come with the speakers installed.
if this is the case and there are no speaker wires for the dash then you will have to run new wire and tap it into the front door speaker wires.

You can try looking there for info. I think the wiring on a 2010 should be comparable to a 2009. Shows wire colors, connector pictures, etc.

Thnaks for your responce, yes i am trying to add the new speakers on my dash having factory slots available, i have seen lot of forums showing the harness available under the dash for these speakers, however for my model the harness is not available, i have searched every where under the dash, i possible could.  I never wanted to open my door panels for tapping the wires from my door speakers. looks like i dont have anyother  choice. :)

Thanks

for your car, it would probably be much easier to tap into the front speakers behind the radio instead of going into each door, the radio is much easier to pull out than the door panels are. i think WEENs link describes the wire colors you will need.

Thanks guys, this is what i was thinking of. tapping into door speakers is a bit of pain and the easiest way indeed is the front bezel. I have mounted the speakers and routed the wires under the dash, will see if i can tap them on to the radio directly.

Any idea about the auto headlight sensor, when i can locate these wires? given that, i have installed the auto headlight switch, whcih works fine during the night, however dosen't turn off the lights during the day, since there is no light sensor installed on the dash. I can mount the sensor on the dash, however, got no idea where to tap it? sensor has only 2 wires red and black. any help on this would be highly appreciated.

Thnaks once again for your help.

I finally have working speakers on my dash and connecting them from the radio was a cake walk. much appreciated. and this is really must have option, i can see a huge difference with the output.

I am still struggling with the climate sensor installation. dont know, where to tap the light sensor, rest all is ready and tested.

if you bought a factory light sensor and the car doesnt have a dedicated plug for it at the point of install then the car is probably not set up to use this light sensor. the sensor is just a sensor, not a switch or anything else so that means that there is probably not a way that you could just splice the sensor onto a set of wires and expect it to work like if it came built in already.
with that said, did you receive any kind of instructions or manual for this sensor that we can also download and read because without this information we would but be making guesses as to how you should install this sensor.

No there was no instruction manul, since the sensor was a used part from the same car. My understanding is thst this sensor works as a switch, like a photo sensor, passes current when it's dark and stops when its bright. When i start my car with light switch on auto, light go off for a while n then come back on asuming that its dark outside since there is no sensor. BY the way, while installing my speakers i found a taped 3 pin white connector close to the center dash speaker in line with the light sensor hole, no idea what that is. The sensor i have has only 2 wires..
Thanks
