i have a self powered bazooka tube 100w...the amp is shot, can i just buy a seperate amp for it and plug the sub into that?

I don't see why not as long as the ohms and RMS match. You may not be able to mount the new amp on the tube, but then again you might be able to. It all depends on what you are looking at.

nothing fancy, its going in a back-up car that i will use when mine is in the shop, a 1991 sunfire convertible, just some crappy amp that will be enough to power the sub and sound someone decent
