Hi, complete noob when it comes to car audio...
I received an amp, subs, and a wiring kit from a friend.
I installed it all just fine with no remote wire. The amplifier turns on and stays on.
No remote wire = amp always on
Of course, my battery died one morning before work...
I am trying to connect a remote wire from the REM connector on the amplifier to a fuse (I'm using the radio fuse)
My problem is that when I do this:
Car is on = AMP OFF
Car is off = AMP ON
Car is on, remote wire disconnected AMP = ON
What's going on here? Any help would be appreciated. It seems to be backward! Also, why is my amp on with no remote wire?
