I have a Ford Escort 94 LX and I have just tried to install my new stereo in it. So I took out the factory radio no proplem, then bought a harness to fit in the new player. Then matched up all the wires the correct colors etc etc. I thought so far so good. Then I try it out.....NO POWER!!
I can't work out why, the 12v red ignition, the yellow 12v battery/memory wire, and the black chassis ground are all connected properly, whats wrong?
There are 4 wires not connected, they are two orange dimmer wires and two blue antenna power wires, but i don't think they need to be connected, they weren't in my old car.
PLEASE HELP, it's driving me crazy.
Thanks in advance.

Did you check for power in the switched IGN & the constant wire ? Also, check your ground and make sure that it is a solid ground.
