Hello I just joined this site for some help, I saw an old post of yours on this site while searching for answers, I have a 65' GTO that had an aftermarket 2 wire antenna installed by the previous owner that worked fine with the original dash switch but the motor went bad so I bought a 3 wire black, red, blue Groove Shark antenna. I have a black and red wire in the trunk and found the two relay system he put in under the dash and both relays are clicking and I have power to red when my switch is pushed up and power to black when I switch down, so I hooked red antenna wire to red in trunk and black antenna wire to black but nothing works until I push switch up and hold blue control wire from antenna to red wires and antenna goes up and stops when switch is let go and continues when pushed again, but I can't get it to go down until I pushed switch down and just touch and remove blue wire to reds and it keeps retracting automatically. I've compared all the relay wiring to your schematic drawing and looks right, the antenna is grounded to body but I'm just baffled why the old antenna worked and this one won't, any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks! |

The diodes are 3 amp diodes. I sent you a link in our message thread.
