I recently took my aftermarket stereo out of my 2012 F150 (which was sounding great) and transferred it in to my 2014 Silverado and did not change a thing as far as the install and amp settings except the amp to speaker wiring. The ford I went through the door molex straight to each speaker but the chevy i tapped in to the existing oem wiring avoiding any damage to a molex or door jam.
The difference between the two audio sound is now all my frequencies sound awful, really high and very little base. What went wrong? Could it be the speaker wire installation? Help is appreciated.

You likely need to bypass a factory amplifier.

Are you able to tone out the speakers from directly behind the radio?
