Hehe the antenna is built in to the rear windshield on all of the newer camrys.  Not sure which model year it started with but I do know the '00 model has it built in.  You'll want to check the antenna cable unning to the cd player itself to see if it has any problems with it.  It might need to be re-grounded.

Do you get any AM at all?  What about fm?

make sure that you have hooked up your remote turn on wire to the power antenna lead in your car- some of these window mounted antennas require power for them to operate properly

No..a lot of new carsdon't have and outboard antenna anymore.  If you take a close look at you back window you'll probabl see vertical lines as well as the normal horizontal.  The vertical lines are part of the antenna.  There should also be a small box somewhere close to the top of the back window, which is the actual antenna receiver.  I would suggest going with what Ethan said and check that first. It could be that antenna plug is just not properly plugged in.  good luck
