I feel your pain.  Have had my car broken into 3 times while it was parked in front of my apartment building (i've since put an alarm on the car and bought a gun)...anyway here's a diagram for the 94 aspire.  Does that Aspire radio have an OEM wiring harness plugged into it?  If it doesn't, I would suggest getting an OEM replacement harness (makes things easier).

Since the mustang is the car the radio is going into, and the mustang's plugs were the ones that were cut off, don't you just need the mustang wiring info?  Then once you verify which of your mustang wires correspond to what functions, use a reverse harness that will have all of its wire functions labeled, just like the one sweekster suggested, and it should plug straight into the back of the aspire radio.

I have gotten a radio from a 94 Aspire.  I cut the plugs off the wrecked car, so I could use the radio... ..Sweekster...  Could you send the url again... My browser won't go there!     I have the wiring diagram for my Mustang...

Infinity makes a shallow mount speaker you might want to consider.
