You are looking at 500 watts RMS each so you will need an amp that can handle a 2.66 ohm load and you should wire it up like this:

3 subs 2 amps -- posted image.

The amp should be able to put out some serious power though. Most digital amps manufactured can handle this load but make sure that the input sensitivity of the amp can handle most 4 + volt output RCA's from processors & HU.

Why don't you just use one good amp with the three subs instead? In the end you'll wind up saving a lot more money that way.

pervitizm is right. Getting one good amp will save you installation time as well as money in the end. If you still want to use 2 amps, then you will have to get a pair of identical digital amps otherwise you will run into alot of problems. It's like getting two identical twins to have a tug-o-war.............. unless they are identical in every way, one will end up being stronger than the other and this holds true for amps, so it will give you mixed results.

in that case what would be better to buy, three 500w  amps or a 1500w amp, both need to be rms

(1) 1500w amp would be easier (and probably cheaper) then using (3) 500w amps.
Maxst, any reason why you suggested the A2200HCX? Unless I read the specs from Audiobahn wrong, that amp is only rated 800 x 1 @ 2ohms. With (3) 4ohm DVC's he'll be running at 2.67ohms, and that's seriously underpowering the subs.
The closest amp that Audiobahn makes that I could find is the A18001DT, which is rated 1200 x 1 @ 2ohms.
Some other suggestions...
Rockford Fosgate Power 1500bd or Power 1501bd. Both are rated at 1500 x 1 @ 2ohms (based on a 14.4v electrical system, but I have yet to see an RF amp that didn't perform above their rated specs).
