Im trying to install a new JVC digifine 2.2 in my 92 honda prelude.  I have 2 questions...

1.  What is the best way to set up the grounding wire? no additional pieces were included with the reciever for it, do i need to buy something or should i just attach the cable straight to the chassey?

2.  When attaching the power wire from the reciever to the wire harness causes the reciever to flicker i realized that i should have read the instructions more thoroughly because it apparently needs to be hooked into the fuse block (bypassing the ignition).  Do i need more supplies to do this?  If not, where exactly do i need to run that wire?

Thanks

1: use a wiring harness from a company like metra so that you needn't cut any wires. ya just wire the harness to the receiver, and snap it into the factory harness. best solution.
2: you can ground the receiver to chassis (test for true ground using a meter to be sure ya have a good spot.) or to the grounding strap behind the radio if the car has one (like Chryslers) or to the harness ground if one is supplied.
3: for +12V constant and ignition, and illumination all should be supplied by the appropriate wires from the harness the factory radio had. +12V constant (battery) is used to retain memory settings like stations, prefs, time, etc.
+12 ignition/accessory is used to power the radio when the keys are in the car.
+12 illum. is used for dimming display or backlighting buttons when headlights are on.
gnd. ground wire should be connected before any positive feed is connected. (order of operations if you will)
power antenna lead from receiver is used to do a number of things. switch on/extend a power antenna if you have one, or turn on other components like equalizers, amplifiers, etc, that require a remote-on lead. (low-current, +12V signal feed to tell them to switch on when the radio comes on)
