I did an install on a 94 jeep grand chereokee limited, i put in a alpine cda-9803.

The truck has a factory amp, and i didn't bypass it, the guy didn't want me too.  But heres my problem, ,it works fine on "radio" it plays music and such because the antenna wire has a switched ground or something, but when i go to play a cd it dosn't have the out put to turn on the factory amp, so now im wondering how i would go about hooking the amp turn on wire up to it to get it working on "cd" mode.

How did you hook up the remote on the factory amp? or did you not?

i did not hook up the remote on the factory amp, but im told i need to for it to be able to work in "cd" mode.  I was thinking maybe hook up the remote turn on wire to the antenna wire, but don't think it would be that safe.

Take the Alpine BLUE/WHITE wire and attach it to the Jeep LIGHT GREEN wire on the BLACK harness. This is the remote turn on lead for the factory amplifier. DO NOT use the BLUE wire on the Alpine unit as this is just for the power antenna.
