I suggest everyone checks out alpines web site for there new products, this year they have pulled out all the stops, i have never seen so many new products in 1 year from alpine.

They now have a TYPE-X sub woofer, the mrd series amps look like the f1 status amp now, the head units have a new look to them, and now with the upper models you can adjust up to 8 amps individually right from the head unit!!!.   There is now a 5x7 and a 6.5 " type-s component package's for the guys on a budget.  And the type-s subs have gone through a major makeover!

There is just way to much to list, go check it out for yourself at www.alpine-usa.com .

the sub hasn't been released yet, but its in production,,should see it by march.

Sounds like its going to compete with the JL W7.

I got the new CDA-9835 on order, i should hopefully have it in the next month, and as soon as i sell my curent set up, i will be getting 3 mrd-m501 's,,,and 3 12" type-x subs.

price range for the subs is $450 us retail,,,they will prolly go for $300 on e-bay.  The mrd-m501 will be the same price as last years amps,,they just went through a few visual changes, and uped the power 50 Watts.   I don't know the RMS of the subs yet, but i bet no more than 500 rms since alpine knows how to make a speaker create tonnes of output with little power consumption.

ok, i called my rep today,,,and the type-x is actually,,3000 watts rms,,,,thats not a typo,,,theres is 3 zeros.   And hold on to your hats fella's, haha, , aparently alpine has done there testing against the W7 and it blew it out of the water, but this is alpine saying this.   I will wait till i see a non biased review before i start saying the alpine is the best out.
