My preference is Rockford Fosgate, but it all depends on what you're willing to pay for.  I'm not a professional, but I've always been told to keep the RMS (nominal) levels close to the same for both the amp and sub for best performance.  You need to post the model number of the woofer if you have it, how many ohms the sub is, as well as if it is a single voice-coil or dual voice-coil.  These all play a role in choosing an amp

If I were looking..... I'd go with one of these 3

    Rockford Power 450S ..... 450 watts x 1 @ 4 ohms bridged RMS

    Rockford Power 500.2 .... 500 watts x 1 @ 4 ohms bridged RMS

    Rockford Power 500bd ... 300 watts x 1 @ 4 ohms RMS

Not exactly sure of all the prices, but I picked up a new 500bd for $460 (full retail is around $540).  The 500bd is a Mono amp, and is also 2 ohm stable.  Which means you could get another 4 ohm sub and wire it in parallel, then it becomes 600 watts x 1 @ 2 ohms RMS.  Which is still only 300 watts per sub... but now you're running 2 subs from the same amp, at double the original wattage of the amp, for meerly the cost of another sub.  There are always other ways to go, this was just one of them.............

Which ever way you choose, I would not go under 300 watts or over 500 watts
