2 PG EQ232 for a stereo system?

  I've heard that an EQ is a great tool for making small tweaks in a system and that Phoenix Gold makes a great EQ.  I'm wanting to add one or two too my system (preferably the EQ232) but I don't know if it makes much sense to add a second.  I've never seen a set up like this.  I realize that one of PGs EQ232 is enoff to run my whole system,  but I'm don't really want to part with my rear RCA outputs and also my fader.  

  So if that wasn't clear enoff this is my question.  I have a head unit with four RCA outputs, one for the fronts and one for the rear.  If  I was to hook up two Phoenix Gold EQ232 (one 30 band EQ for each channel) too my system,  would this setup be worth the trouble.

Phoenix Gold EQ232 has two channels,   really has 2 identical 30 bands. One for the right and one for the left.  So its made for one set of RCA output from a headunit.

Are you competing or, don't mind the wording, anal about good sound? In most cases an EQ is a bandaid for a problem. Usually it is there to compensate for poor speakers, poor speaker mounting locations, poor sound quality and the list goes on. Sometimes an eq is a problem solver for an identified problem, like a huge midbass hum that is just throwing your sq out the window, or a convertable that is losing all of the top end.

My suggestion is to post up your system, the vehicle it is in and where the speakers etc are mounted. You just may be barking up the wrong tree. The more times you process a signal, the less is left at the end. Your most important piece in the system is the cd player, next the front speakers, next mounting locations, followed by pretty much everything else.

30 band eq's are nice, they have been around for years now, they are usually installed in a system for a person that is anal about sound, is competing or has the identified problem in his response that dictates the use of an eq like this to solve it. It is best set up using a meter like the Audio Control SA3055 or similar.

This is true, I'm being a little anal you could say.  I am having a slight problem with my mids which sucks because I payed good money for them.  My  imaging is'nt doing so hot either.  I'm also wanting to change my sub box and also want to add some componets. So please keep this all in mind.
