how can i make it louder?

i had my head unit installed to my 400 watt dhd then out to my sony subs

they worked greeat, then i upgraded to 1000 watt sony amp

it worked even better. but then after a week there was a short some where in the REMote wire

so i took it to good guys and reinstalled my who thing, now it works , but the bass is lower than before....... i mean its loud.. but not as loud as it was before.....

so how can i get loud.. i mean NOW it sounds like its on my 400 watt dhd amp instead of the 1000 watt sony amp?

oh yeah its an acura legend 94, if u know anything about this car it would help

cuz the guy mentioned how its hooked up to bose amp, ... or something.

Some larger name places just install to get people in and out, so they could have wired your subs in a different configuration or just changed the settings on your amp. as far as the Bose system goes, if your running an aftermarket deck you may need to bypass that to get the correct balance between your subs and interior speakers.

u mean like a sound converter? before it was a factory bose head unit

then  i got a jvc....

They didn't adjust the gain on your amp did they?
