Have the old Clarion 18 disk changer running off a Clarion 9375 (the radio with the bright blue face). I put this in a friends truck a couple of months ago and took it out and everything worked fine. I installed it in my neighbor's truck yesterday and I am getting a code on the screen of the head unit: CDAC2 ERROR ... or something to that affect. I know the CDAC2 was there but I can't remember if the word "ERROR" was present or not. In any event, is anyone familiar with this message?

Did you press the reset button behind the faceplate (see your owners manual)?

Dyohn... thanks for replying... for some reason, I never got an email showing a reply...

I did not press that button. I could try that I suppose. I will get back to you on it.

If the changer continues to give you that error it is time for it to visit the shop.  With this model you may be able to find a new one online for the price it would cost to get the old on repaired.  CDAC errors normally means an error reading a disc.  I once had this problem and the eye was out.  Had the unit repaired under warranty over 6 years ago and it is still working.

I have the exact cd changer.

I never had a problem with it......I leave the car in the garage and now i have the same error 2 coming up.I went to clarion and the error 2 means the cd magazine is not able to eject or is having a problem ejecting.

I read somewhere that we may have to take it apart. there is a half moon gear that needs to be set back into the gear.     POSSIBLY.

let me know any of your findings...I will be taking it apart this weekend.
