I have a 96 extended cab GMC truck with 4"x6" speakers in the back and 6.5" speakers in the front. I am looking to replace the stock speakers. Should I get 2-way/3way speakers for both the front and back, or should I just get an amp and component speakers for the front and leave the back ones stock?

For sure get at least amplified 2-way components for the front. As for the back, theres no need for components, coaxials would be enough. As for changing the back, it's up to you how you want the back to sound. Some people don't even use rear fill as they believe it ruins the front stage. But IMO I would change them to amplified coaxials, with a seperate amplifier from the components so that I have the choice to turn them off if there aren't rear passengers.

Any suggestions for an amp? (The back speakers are 4-40W RMS 4ohm each, and the front component spaeakers are 10-100W RMS 4ohm each.) Also, how should I wire the speakers?
Thanks in advance.
