I just got back from Florida and had my Alpine MRD-M500 playing pretty much full volume and when i got done with the 6 hour trip (from ATL) it was barely warm.

i have noticed that too, , i have been especialy pleased since i ran mine at 1.3ohm (thats not a typo) on hot, sunny days in the summer, and the amp never went higher than 30 degrees celcius.   And the temp outside was about 28.
