i also have a 98 jeep grand cherokee

it has 2 rockford he2's subs powered by a 501s

and poioneer 3way tsa 165 i tink... for my doors...

i have the 840 pioneer premier radio which dont wanna turn on no more...

2 problems.. 1 i have a cd in the radio how do i get it out.... 2 where do i go for better prices on the new pioneer n1 radio/dvd everything radio... or the 9600 pioneer radio

well if the head unit is trash to you now, why not have sum fun and try to better learn the working of the head units. dissasemble it.

Check the fuses in the radio first and see if thats the only reason why it wont turn on. You have one behind the radio and 2 in the fuse pannel

i tried both .... and they are both in tact.... nothin seems to be wrong but its just so wierd how it stopped  werkin......

Do you have a multi meter or in this case even a test light. If you do turn the car on, unplug the radio and see if you have voltage going through both the red and yellow wires on the deck side of the harness. If you do than I suggest that you go to your local dealer and make buddies with him. You may pay a little more locally but having support in city as opposed to some guy on  the net that you dont know is gonna make it well worth it
