Am needing help with radio installation.  This is what's going on, I have 1998 mazda 626 with bose factory radio.  Am replacing it with kenwood kdc 222 cd player.  Bought the wiring kit, matched wire for wire and it works only thing is there is no sound.  A friend told me that there is an amp somewhere on the firewall and I need to bypass this.  Looked for it but could not see where an amp could be.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

there will be a "amp turn on wire" in the harness at the radio  , , you need to hook the amp turn on wire from your kenwood up to it and it will turn on the bose amp.    To find the wire, , plug the factory deck back in and test all the left over wires that you didn't connect anything too and if you find a 12v+ wire, , then it should be your amp wire.

Another option is to bypass the amp, , but i don't reccomend that, , it creates a big hassle when you try to put the factory deck back in to sell the car.....Just run new wires to the speakers from your deck.
